At St Petersburg General Hospital, we are committed to providing excellent women’s care with a personalized approach. We offer comprehensive women's services, including gynecology, midwifery, obstetrics and breast care.

Breast health

We offer advanced breast care to patients of all ages. We use the latest diagnostic imaging technology to detect breast cancer and breast abnormalities in their earliest and most treatable stages. To do this, we offer patients the following:

  • 3D mammograms
  • Breast compression stabilization system
  • Breast ultrasounds
  • Cyst aspiration
  • Digital mammograms
  • Minimally invasive breast biopsies

With our technology, procedures are more comfortable, and results are faster and more accurate than they ever have been.

Gynecology

From routine exams to surgery, we provide women with comprehensive gynecologic care. St. Petersburg General Hospital is home to a GYN Epicenter where we use advanced surgical technology to perform minimally invasive robotic surgeries, including:

  • Hysterectomy—Surgical removal of the uterus and/or other reproductive organs
  • Myomectomy—Surgical removal of uterine fibroids
  • Sacrocolpopexy—Surgical treatment for uterine or vaginal vault prolapse

Labor and delivery

Through St. Pete's Family Beginnings, we offer high-quality, family-centered maternity services. We provide expert care to women throughout their pregnancy. Our secured unit also offers patients private rooms where new families can bond together under the care of certified nurses and expert physicians. We also provide a range of childbirth classes for expectant and new parents.
