St. Petersburg General Hospital has again been named one of America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care by the Women’s Choice Award® for the fourth consecutive year. The methodology for America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care award is unique in that it combines Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey results with primary research about women’s healthcare preferences.
St. Petersburg General Hospital earned this award again because of a consistent rank among the best of 3,500 hospitals. Criteria involved reporting on performance of their respective Emergency Departments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). St. Petersburg General Hospital is one of 320 award recipients representing the hospitals that have met the highest standards for emergency care in the U.S. by the Women’s Choice Award.
“This award demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the St. Petersburg General Hospital family to provide high quality, safe, and compassionate care to our patients and their families. Assuring that each and every person who enters our hospital receives the highest quality treatment is our top priority and we will continue to strive for excellent patient satisfaction,” states Janice Balzano, President and CEO of St. Petersburg General Hospital. “Winning this award for the fourth year in a row exemplifies our consistency in providing outstanding care.”
