In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the hospital is offering $65 2D and $100 3D screenings

St. Petersburg, FL — In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, St. Petersburg General Hospital is running a promotion for discounted mammograms during the month of October. The promotion includes $65 for 2D mammograms and $100 for 3D mammograms. Each mammogram includes a cancer screening and radiologist reading.

“Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States. Breast cancer can occur in both men and women, but it's far more common in women. Mammograms continue to be the gold standard for finding breast cancer in its early stages,” said Ken Wicker, CEO. “Many health insurance plans cover screening mammograms every 1-2 years for women ages 40 and older, with no out-of-pocket costs. Without insurance, breast cancer screenings can be expensive, but they are critical for all women, whether you have health insurance or not. This promotion is intended to make mammograms more accessible for the women in our community and help those around us live longer, healthier lives.”

The promotion will run from October 1-31. Payment can be made via check, cash or credit card and is not eligible for insurance reimbursement. Women with breast implants or existing breast problems are not eligible. Additional restrictions may apply.
