St Petersburg, FL, September 13, 2016 - Stacy Chase, DO, Associate Family Medicine Residency Director for St Petersburg General Hospital was presented with the Fellowship Award from The American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP).
The ACOFP recognized Dr. Chase at the 53rd Annual Convention and Scientific Seminars in April 2016 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is a prestigious award given to those who have shown exemplary, ongoing dedication to the Osteopathic profession and community on local, state, and national levels.
The designation, Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, signifies the recognition of the member’s experience, dedication, and contributions of the highest order to the advancement of family practice by his/her peers. She was sponsored by Greg James, DO, FACOFP distinction. To date, 747 Osteopathic Family Physicians have received this award since the ACOFP was founded in 1950.
Dr. Chase substantially supports medical education of family practice residents as the Residency Clinic Director at Family Care at Bardmoor. She is the Associate Family Medicine Residency Director for St. Petersburg General Hospital family practice residents and interns and an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor for Lake Erie College of Medicine in Bradenton, FL.
Dr. Chase is the chair of Family Medicine at St. Petersburg General Hospital; board member, Treasurer and Membership Director of the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society (PCOMS); Board of Director in training for the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) and a Fellow of the American College of Family Physicians.
