Dr. Ali established Pasadena Center for Asthma and Lung Disorders in January of 2009. Dr. Ali is Mayo trained as well as being recognized, as Mayo Clinic’s “Best Academic Clinician” for 2005 and former Chief Resident at New York Methodist Hospital he completed his Critical Care Fellowship at Mayo Clinic as well as a Pulmonary Fellowship at Brooklyn Hospital Center. He has been published numerous times. Dr. Ali’s skills, expertise and personable manner ensure his patients of not only state-of-the-art technology and methods, but also a warm, friendly environment in which they will be treated like family.
Dr. Ali is Boarded Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine. He possesses a long list of medical certifications along with professional organization memberships, specializing in asthma and pulmonary disease, including sleep medicine.

Admit, evaluate, perform history and physical exam, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients 14 years of age and older with common and complex illnesses, afflictions, diseases, and functional disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, digestive, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, and eliminative systems of the human body to include: - Abdominal paracentesis - Arthocentesis and joint injections - Arterial venous puncture technique and interpretation - Blood smear technique and interpretation - Bone marrow aspiration - Breast cyst aspiration - Burns, superficial and partial thicknes - Bursa and joint aspiration and injection, basic analysis of joint fluid - EKG interpretation - Excision of skin and subceutaneous tumors, nodules, and lesions - Gram stain - Incision and drainage of abscesses - Intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intracutaneous injections - Local anesthetic techniques - Lumbar Puncture - Nasogastric tube insertion - Occult blood testing - Pulmonary function studies - Pelvic examination with associated labratory evaluations (PAP smear, trichomonas, monilia, STD's) - Performance of simple skin biopsy or excision - Placement of anterior and posterior nasal hemostatic packing - Potassium hydroxide prep - Proctosigmoidoscopic examination - Removal of nonpenetrating corneal foreign body, nasal foreign body - Repair of lacerations - Skins testing (allergy and cell mediated) interpretation - Supervision of patients receiving chemotherapeutic agents intravenously, and/or intraperitonealy for Outpatients in an emergency - Suprapubic bladder aspiration - Thoracentesis - Tracheal suctioning - Urethral catheterization -Venous cutdown Diagnosis and medical management of all categories of respiratory diseases, including chronic and acute respiratory failure.
