Dr. Hoche, in 1978, co-founded the cardiology practice, which ultimately became the Heart Institute of St. Petersburg. This practice then became the South Campus of the Heart and Vascular Insitute of Florida. He was Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, where he received his MD degree. Dr. Hoche interned at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
He received his Cardiology Fellowship and Medical Residency training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, N.Y. Dr. Hoche served in the U.S. Navy performing weightlessness research for NASA at the Naval Aerospace Medical Research Lab in Pensacola, Florida.
Dr. Hoche is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has received numerous honors and awards for his service to the American Heart Association nationally and in Florida. He is a Member of many cardiology subspecialty organizations.
