Accredited for Oncology

St Petersburg General Hospital has demonstrated expertise and commitment to quality patient care by voluntarily meeting or exceeding a wide set of stringent criteria and completing recent on-site evaluations by review teams from the American College of Surgeons (ACoS).

The hospital is newly awarded a three year accreditation for Oncology by the Commission on Cancer of the ACoS. This accreditation ensures our patients have access to the full scope of services required to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate and support patients with cancer and their families. In addition, four commendations were received in quality data submission, prevention and early detection, education of cancer registry staff and quality improvements. St Petersburg General Hospital provides the delivery of comprehensive, multi-disciplinary cancer care based upon nationally recognized quality measures and standards of care.
